6th (Bob Jones)
In the Social Study course, students use the New World History and Geography textbook teaching the subjects from a Christian perspective. With the aid of many colorful maps, illustrations and photographs, the text inspires students to learn more about the people and places of their own land and neighboring countries.
 


7th (Bob Jones)
World Studies History is an overview of world events, and people and culture from the Dark Ages to the present time in all parts of the world. A brief history, geography, and culture are studied as well as map studies and current events. The students develop note taking and study skills as they go through the course. 


8th (NC State History)
In the History course, students will receive an overview of the history of North Carolina from exploration to present. Students will learn throughout the course how the history of North Carolina is paralleled with United States history. A study of the government of North Carolina is included in this course along with maps and information about the important landmarks in the state. In addition students continue to develop their note-taking and study skills.
