Grade Point Average and Class Rank

The grade point average (GPA) and class rank for students is determined by their cumulative weighted grade point average for grades 9-12. If students have identical weighted GPAs, numeric average is used.

GPA is calculated by assigning quality points for each letter grade (A-4, B-3, C-2, D-1, F-0). One extra quality point is added for each honors level course. Two extra quality points are added for each AP course. The total number of quality points earned is divided by the number of courses attempted to determine the GPA.
